Tips and tricks on freezing fresh produce

So as a mummy, I look for ways to save money and cook a variety of foods. However, in order to save on fresh produce (fruit and veg), we usually need to buy in bulk. I realised my strawberries (yum yum), garlic, peppers & chillies were going towards becoming rotten soon. I just quickly washed them, diced them up; into a freezer friendly bag and yay saved. This way you can buy in bulk (even food reduced in price), and not lose on £££. Use frozen fruit in pies and smoothies. Frozen veg can be used in pies, curries, pasties, pastas and much much more. Pre-bought frozen fruit and veg can be very expensive.

Make sure to peel garlic (as pictured below), wash and slice peppers, wash and cut end of garlic & wash your tomatos etc. Place in freezer friendly bags. You can even freeze left over pasta/lasagne sauces. Happy scrimping :)
